I compiled 10 movies worth to watch this Lenten Week, based from synopsis, box office status and most preferred genre. I already watched some of the movies listed below.
Knowing
I remember the Book of Revelation upon watching the movie. The story started in 1958, a group of young students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school. But a mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with combinations of random numbers instead. Fifty years later, a new batch of students opens capsule’s contents and the mysterious girl’s cryptic message was distributed in the hands of young Caleb Koestler. But it is Caleb’s father, professor John Koestler (Nicholas Cage) discovers the encrypted message of the paper, which is the exact date and locations of tragedies happened within 50 years. As John further figure out the document’s shivering secrets, he realized that the document foretells three additional events.
Fast and Furious
When a crime brings them back to L.A., fugitive ex-con Dom Toretto reignites his feud with agent Brian O’Conner. But as they are forced to confront a shared enemy, Dom and Brian must give in to an uncertain new trust if they hope to outmanuever him. And from convoy heists to precision tunnel crawls across international lines, two men will find the best way to get revenge: push the limits of what’s possible behind the wheel.
