5 mackerels, about 100 grams each
10 hot chilis, lightly crushed
2 tbsp fish sauce
2 tbsp lime juice
6 cups water
1. Scale the mackerels, slit down the middle and remove insides and gills. Wash throughly and drain.
2. Bring the water to a boil over medium heat, then reduce heat. Add the fish and boil until done.
3. Season with fish sauce, lime juice and chili; remove from the heat.
4. Arrange the fish on a serving dish, spoon the sauce over, garnish with slice of lime and some green leaves, serve immediately.
