The story started in 1958, a group of young students is asked to draw pictures to be stored in a time capsule, as part of the dedication ceremony for a new elementary school. But a mysterious girl fills her sheet of paper with combinations of random numbers instead. Fifty years later, a new batch of students opens capsule’s contents and the mysterious girl’s cryptic message was distributed in the hands of young Caleb Koestler. But it is Caleb’s father, professor John Koestler (Nicholas Cage) discovers the encrypted message of the paper, which is the exact date and locations of tragedies happened within 50 years. And television is about the characters and the writing, and we want to make sure that that show is on track. But very secure. I think that what Tim is interested in doing is getting back to the core of the show and that it’s these ordinary people with extraordinary powers and that they may have taken on too much in terms of characters and multiple storylines.”
